About Neil

Neil and his family have lived in Histon since 1990. Neil works for Barclays Bank and Ruth is a Library assistant at Histon Library.  They have three adult children Sarah, Tim and Abi all of whom live locally. Ruth and Neil attend St Andrews Church, Histon.  He has a long commitment with local schools through being a governor and now working with all village schools on the Village Mental Wellbeing initiative.

Neil has been on the Histon Feast Committee for thirty years and in 2017 co-lead the Feast Festival a special event enjoyed by thousands.

Neil helped found two important village charities;

•Histon & Impington Community (HICOM) which operates the community minibus and wellbeing initiatives.

•Friends of Histon & Impington Recreation through which Neil channels his passion for sport participation and organising large sports events e.g. Bonfire Burn 10k

He is passionate about the development of girls football helping regularly setting up new girls Histon Hornet teams. Neil enjoys walking, visiting other parts of the country and is a supporter of Norwich City.
